Secret Suburbia
This group of 4 from Toronto, Canada came together in the summer of 2001 and have quickly built an impressive reputation ever since. With a rapdily growing fan base from touring, Secret Suburbia have managed to inspire and satisfy those who choose to test-drive the bands' high energy sound wave. Achieving top ten ranking on internet music sites like Mp3.com, Trax in Space, Loudenergy.com and Garageband.com were only the first signs of the impending success with critics. Several of T.J.'s(songwriter) songs have been licenced to such U.S. National T.V. series as Fox Televisions' hit series "24" starring Keifer Sutherland, produced by Ron Howard, and the underground T.V. series called "Mutant X" as well as M.T.V. shows like "The Real World", "Road Rules", and "Making Of the Band". Listening to his music, one can recognize the various influences that have inspired the bands' frontman, singer/guitarist T.J Habibi. The live band is completed by Mark Chee-Aloy (Bass), Dave West(Guitar) and John Michalopoulos (drums). Secret Suburbia's sound can be described as a mixture of modern rock decorated wtih electronics and rap. With the newest CD, 'Midy Gritty", T.J. has succesfully integrated various styles of music, forming a dynamic and unique brand of music, a sound he can call his own. Read more on Last.fm.
